What’s Happening at Christ Lutheran Church

Kids Count at Christ Lutheran

Faith Stepping Stones This program is geared towards children aged 3 through 5th grade. Special times for each age group to talk about our faith are scheduled by the pastor. A beautiful quilt is presented to each high school graduate that represents these Stepping Stones.

Kaleidoscope  Tuesdays in room 8. Kaleidoscope begins at 4:30 p.m. Elementary school age children are welcome to be part of this creative musical experience. We  sing, do drama and movement, play games, learn tone chimes, rhythm instruments, make crafts, and perform community service projects.

Confirmation Is for middle school students grades 6-8, which begins with a snack at 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday in the Conference Room throughout the school year. Topics covered are: The Hebrew Bible, New Testament, Lutheran Living and Luther’s Small Catechism. It ends at 7:30 p.m.

Sharing the Love of God

Chancel Choir Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the church. This group enhances worship by providing choral music in a traditional SATB format. Don’t know what part you sing? We’ll figure it out together. No experience necessary to participate … just a willingness to have fun and sing! Everyone is welcome.

Handbell Choir Thursdays, 5:45 to 6:45pm in the church. Want to have fun learning to play an instrument? This group provides opportunity to learn the basics of note reading and rhythm where making mistakes is part of the process. No experience necessary to participate in this group. Everyone is welcome. Opportunity to provide special music at Sunday worship will occur regularly.

Praise Team This group leads singing at worship. Rehearsal is on Sunday at 8:30am, after worship, in the church. Some experience necessary to participate in this group.

Day-timers Lunch Bunch Scheduled monthly on the last Tuesday at 11:30am.   This group is for those who enjoy day-time activities. Gather for lunch and table chat at a local restaurant. All are welcome!

Faith-Based Action

Koinonia Prison Ministry Inmate Letter Writing Donations of new and used greeting cards may be left in the church entry or church office. Volunteers receive “Do’s and Don’ts” letter writing training to become a Pen Pal to an inmate.

Cover Gs Meets Tuesdays from 9 to 11:00am in the Social Hall. Come make quilts to be given to those in need. No experience necessary. Enjoy fun and fellowship as we stitch away the hours.

Prayer for Peace in the Middle East This group meets the 24th of every month at 7:00pm in the sanctuary to join with others who have committed to pray at the same time around the world.

Twelve Step Programs Christ Lutheran Church opens its doors to many Twelve Step Programs. For further information contact the church office.

Healing Power of the Holy Spirit

Men’s Bible Study Meets the second Monday of the month at 7:00pm in the church Conference Room. We are currently studying the book of Luke.

Wednesday morning Bible Study Meets at 9:30am in the church Conference Room (in the Office building). We read and discuss the upcoming Sunday’s lessons. Everyone is welcome to help the Pastor preach relevant and meaningful sermons!
