The Crew (CREW - Christ is Risen, Everyone Worship) consists of the high school youth. Service is a main focus of this group. In summers past, they have done mission work in places such as Wyoming and Minnesota as well as right here at CLC.

The high school youth gather monthly for a meeting at noon on the first Sunday of the month and plan up and coming activities, such as a beach bonfires, summer trips, and service projects. These youth have participated in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine as well as ELCA Youth Gatherings. This group is full of youth who love to serve the Lord and enjoy fellowship with one another.

The junior high age group, KFC (Kids For Christ), also gather monthly on the second Sunday of the month to plan out the months activities and have made trips to Miracle Ranch, an all boys Orphanage in Mexico as well as sending gifts to members within our congregation who are unable to attend church.

On Wednesday Nights the high school youth from Holy Redeemer Bellflower, St. Luke's Long Beach, and Christ Long Beach come together for LOFT. At 5:30 we eat with all of the confirmation program, help out with games, perform a skit for the confirmation presentation, and then begin our LOFT evening. L.O.F.T. stands for Living Out Faith Together. Each week we rotate through L.O.F.T. For 'L' we concentrate on the Bible and how it pertains to current events and things high school youth encounter from day to day. During an 'O' week we go OUT to Starbucks, have a devotion and focus on each other's highs and lows for the week. During 'F' we immerse ourselves in a "good-ol fashioned Bible Study". And finally, 'T' is a time for us to partner together or form small groups and really build relationships with one another within the group. Many of the youth are very active throughout different aspects of the church. They assist with the children's sermon and serve as acolytes, greeters, ushers, communion assistants and lectors.
