Pastor Jim Bessey
Pastor Jim began his ministry at Christ Lutheran in August of 1996. He has also served congregations in Berkeley, San Francisco, Burlingame and Los Altos in Northern California. He is a graduate of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks; Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN; and has completed graduate courses at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley.
A gifted vocalist, Pastor. Jim sings with our Chancel Choir. He regularly teaches an adult Bible study class on Sunday morning in addition to his worship leadership and preaching responsibilities.
Marilyn Chelsvig, Director of Music and Education
Marilyn Chelsvig is an Associate in Ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and has served congregations in Indiana and southern California since 1983. She holds degrees from the University of Northen Iowa and Valparaiso University amd was called to serve at Christ Lutheran Church as Director of Music and Education in July, 2003.
